This assignment, presented in an A1 format, demonstrates proficiency in various architectural design aspects. It maintains continuity and clarity through consistent logic from initial biotype investigation to final design, ensuring a thorough approach to materiality, structure, and form. Computational thinking is highlighted by using digital tools and methods, achieving an advanced digital workflow. Contextual coherency is shown by uniting multiple interrelated logics in response to site context and disruptions, including scripting multiple Grasshopper scripts to adapt to the site and mitigate cyclone threats. Architectural coherency is evident in the practical response to site, clients, and socio-cultural factors, with a strong relationship between form and function. High-quality presentation materials convey the design method and outcome effectively. The project also used Putakawai leaves, experimenting with bleaching and dyeing to restore some natural life to the leaves. This comprehensive evaluation ensures a thorough assessment of both technical and conceptual dimensions.
