My name is Lydia Pye, and I am a third-year student pursuing a Bachelor of Architectural Studies at Victoria University. From an early age, I have nurtured a profound passion for the built environment we inhabit. My inclination toward creativity led me to focus on visual and artistic subjects during my high school years, constantly seeking to explore the visual aspects of life.

I am currently in my third year of a Bachelor of Architectural Studies at the University of Victoria, Wellington, New Zealand. During my first year, I had the honor of being placed on the Wellington Victoria University Faculty of Architecture and Design Innovation Dean’s List, in recognition of my exceptional academic performance in 2022. As a dedicated and attentive student, I am deeply committed to my studies, finding great satisfaction in the learning objectives presented. I thrive under the challenges of architecture and strive for academic excellence, driven by my passion for the field.

Outside of my architectural studies, I lead an active and social lifestyle. I prioritize incorporating daily habits that promote physical activity while cherishing the time spent with friends and family. With six years of competitive rowing experience, both within and outside of school, and participation in various other sports, I have developed a strong commitment to maintaining an active lifestyle. This dedication is complemented by my enjoyment of social activities, allowing me to foster meaningful connections with friends and whānau.

With various ambitions for the future, completing my Master of Architecture is at the forefront. I plan to continue on to obtain my registration as a qualified architect through the New Zealand Registered Architects Board. I aspire to secure a summer internship for 2024/2025 with the esteemed team at Warren and Mahoney.
